The invisibility of the new
I have one last observation to make about BEA.
That’s not true; there is much not to say.
But thinking on the flight home about the visual impact of the show, I suddenly saw that, despite all the changes that were discussed in the seminars, changes that I’m sure are happening in the hallways of the Island, the big booths of the major players all looked familiar.
They looked as if the back-channel changes might not matter.
But the booth for Google Search looked to me like a portal.
